Huntsville, Alabama - Brown Precision, Inc. (BPI) has received ISO9001-2000 certification following a four-day audit completed by Management Certification Services. This achievement confirms that BPI has implemented a Quality Management System that maximizes product quality and production efficiency.
ISO9001-2000 certification focuses primarily on quality management that ensures that the company produces its products in a way that is required by the customer. Criteria for ISO9001-2000 certification includes: customer-focused organization; leadership; process approach; system approach to management; continual improvement; factual approach to decision-making; and mutually-beneficial supplier relationships.
Within the same week of being recommended for ISO9001-2000 certification, Brown Precision, Inc. was informed by PPG Aerospace that BPI had been awarded not only a National Small-Business 2002 Supplier of the Year Award, but also was selected as The National 2002 Supplier of the Year for PPG Aerospace to add to the company's accomplishments.
